Dec. 22--Sure, some women seem to be born with style and poise, particularly movie stars who frequently tread red carpets.

It starts out reminding you of the style basics (fit, fabric, proportion), plus some head-to-toe slenderizing tricks. From there, the book guides you through finding clothes that best accent your physique, from curvy, short and narrow-shouldered types to full-busted, small-busted and heavy-armed types. And, yes, there's plenty of advice for those of us with a tummy issue, too.
You'll learn about patterns, details and colors, even which ones should be mixed with others. Chapters include advice on choosing and wearing dresses, jackets, suits, coats, pants, jeans, skirts, tops, sweaters, lingerie and shapewear, swimsuits, shoes, bags and other accessories.
One of our favorite parts was the three steps for shopping success. One of the best tips: Dress comfortably. "Wear lightweight clothes that are easy to get into and out of." Amen.
