Hampton Watch is hosting a watch party during Friday's global telethon for Haiti sponsored by George Clooney and Wyclef Jean.

The citizen awareness group is inviting charities including the Red Cross, Salvation Army and Catholic Charities to collect donations on-site. The watch party is 7 -- 10 p.m. The telethon airs at 8 p.m.

"Not everybody feels comfortable donating over the Internet or texting their money in," said Hampton Watch President Gaylene Kanoyton. "Our vision is to have all charities on hand so people can write checks directly to them."

Big-screen televisions will be set up to broadcast the telethon, and the Holiday Inn will offer a menu for attendees to order from, Kanoyton said. The hotel will donate a portion of all food sales, she added.

According to MTV.com, Wyclef Jean and CNN's Anderson Cooper will host from New York and Haiti, respectively, while Clooney will be in Los Angeles. The show will air commercial-free across ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT.

All donations will directly benefit Oxfam America, Partners in Health, Red Cross, UNICEF and Wyclef's Yele Haiti Foundation.
